Visitation is Friday night for 16-year-old Allison English at Burroughs Cooper Kiser Funeral Home in Bennettsville. She and Dean Adams died in a crash Tuesday afternoon near the intersection of SC 79 and SC 38.

Visitation for English will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and her funeral will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

Visitation for 16-year-old Jeremiah Dean Adams will be Saturday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and his funeral is Sunday  at 2:00 p.m.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash that involved an 18-wheeler log truck and pick up driven by Adams.

Troopers say the logging truck was traveling south and the pickup truck was traveling north. The pickup truck crossed the center-line of the highway and the vehicles collided head-on, troopers said. At this point, investigators say there's no indication why he crossed the center line.

Marlboro County Coroner Tim Brown said the Marlboro County teens died of multiple internal injuries and no toxicology tests were done because there was no indication it was necessary.

The car was completely destroyed and the log truck drifted off into a field and caught fire. The entire cab of the log truck and part of the cargo was burned.

The driver of the log truck was not injured.

Troopers said that Adams was driving the pickup truck and that he was not wearing a seatbelt. English was wearing her seatbelt.

That Highway 79 was closed for about 2 hours after the crash.

The Marlboro County School District sent out a message Wednesday extending sympathy to the family and friends.  Grief counseling is currently being offered to students and staff by the district's counselors and psychologists.

NOTE: An earlier version of the story incorrectly stated the crash was at the intersection of SC 79 and SC 38 and that it involved a car, not a pick-up truck.
