WASHINGTON, N.C. - A Washington man is accused in a December breaking and entering.

Deputies say 22-year-old Ricky David Tripp is charged with Felony Breaking and Entering, Larceny After Break/Enter, and Injury to Personal Property.

His arrest follows a December 12 report of breaking and entering at a home on Cherry Run Road in Washington. Deputies responding to the scene found tools, jewelry, pocket books, DVDs, CDs, and prescription medications were stolen in the incident.

Investigators conducted interviews and searched a wooded area behind the suspect’s residence, where they found stolen property from the Cherry Run Road home and numerous car break-ins in Washington.

Tripp was placed in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $30,000 secured bond.

Charges are still pending against him for the car break-ins.
