Man arrested with 12 bricks of heroin

GREENVILLE, N.C. - Police arrested a man after finding him in possession of a large amount of heroin.

It happened in early March.

Officers say 34-year-old Troy Leroy Henninghan is charged  with Trafficking Heroin by Possession, Trafficking Heroin by Transportation, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Heroin, and Maintaining a Vehicle for Controlled substances.

Investigators say they contacted Henninghan as he was exiting a vehicle parked on Greenfield Boulevard. When they searched the vehicle, they found 12 “bricks’ or 600 bindles of heroin, along with 1,000 glassine bags used for packaging heroin.

Henninghan is in the Pitt County Detention Center under a $250,000 secured bond.
