Reward offered in death of Ahoskie woman shot to death in home

AHOSKIE, N.C. - A reward is being offered in the death of an Ahoskie woman.

Police say a $5,500 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for Ruby Baker's murder.

Baker was killed during a home invasion on March 2nd.

An autopsy has determined a woman found dead in her Ahoskie home earlier this month was shot in the chest.
Police said they found 85-year-old Ruby Baker hurt in her Hertford County home March 2 after her burglar alarm went off. She died a short time later at the hospital.
Ahoskie Police have released few details about the case, and have called the State Bureau of Investigation for assistance.
The medical examiner released a report Friday saying Baker was shot in the chest by someone standing away from her.
