CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -

Five people were injured in a hit-and run in Chapel Hill early Saturday morning when they were struck by a vehicle while attending to another car crash.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Fordham Boulevard and Scarlett Drive around 2:30 a.m. Saturday in response to a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle.

Police say five people in total were struck by a silver 2000 Audi A4 as they were standing outside attending to another crash that had occurred moments prior.

Anyone with information concerning the identity of the driver of the Audi is asked to call either the Chapel Hill Police Department at (919) 968-2760 or CrimeStoppers at (919) 942-7515.
