Update: Police make two arrests in Wilson apartment shooting

WILSON, N.C. - The Wilson Police Department makes two arrests in connection to a shooting last Tuesday.

On Sunday, police arrested 23-year-old Jerome Melvin, Jr.  Police had already arrested 22-year-old Tyshone Braswell on Friday night.  Both suspects are from Wilson and were given $150,000 secured bond.

Police say both Melvin and Braswell face charges for attempted first degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and inflict serious injury. The charges stem from a Tuesday night shooting on Kincaid Avenue in Wilson, where one man was injured.

The Wilson Police Department is encouraging anyone with information in the case to contact them at 252-399-2323 or at Crime Stoppers at 252-243-2255.

The Wilson Police Department are looking for two suspects in connection to a Tuesday night shooting.

On Friday, Police issued warrants for 23-year-old

The Wilson Police Department is investigating a Tuesday night shooting.

The shooting happened just after 11p.m. at the Crescent Gardens Apartment complex on Kincaid Avenue.

Police say officers were called to Wilson Medical Center in reference to a person who had been shot. The victim was not able to identify who shot him.

Police say the victim was airlifted to Vidant Medical Center.
