A serial rapist is starting a sentence of more than 400 years in North Carolina prisons.
An Onslow County jury on Friday convicted 34-year-old Willie Abner Brown of Jacksonville on dozens of criminal charges, including six counts of first-degree rape.
Brown attacked four women in 2011 and 2012, two of whom he raped multiple times on the same day. Two of the victims testified they were pregnant at the time. One woman testified Brown raped her while her baby was in the house, then forced her to drive to a cash machine to withdraw $600.
Brown said he was innocent and the jury was wrong, but that he was sorry about using one of the victim's stolen credit cards.
