North Carolina Central University learned where its men's basketball team is headed in their first-ever trip to the NCAA tournament.

The Eagles held a selection Sunday watch party on their Durham campus.  The Mid Eastern Athletic Conference champs are a 14 seed and will take on third seeded Iowa State on Friday in San Antonio, Texas.  Fans are ready to show the country what they can do.

"I hope that we really put North Carolina on the map, especially Central," C'era Banks said.  "I really hope that we just take over and we just win the whole thing, you know, show them that we know what we're doing over here."

The University also tells WNCN this is the best seed ever for a MEAC conference team.
