Father and Son charged in Plymouth Shooting

The Plymouth Police Department tells 9 On Your Side a father and son have been charged following a Saturday night shooting in Plymouth.

Investigator Kevin Sitterson says Saturday evening officers were called to 111 Roanoke Ave in Plymouth. This was after dispatchers received a call at 10:40pm saying a neighbor was shooting at kids in the driveway.

Officers found James(father) and Robert(son) Gallagher entering the residence of 107 Roanoke Ave. one holding what appeared to be a shotgun. Both subjects were detained without incident and two shotguns were seized pending investigation.

Police tell 9 On Your Side that after talking to three victims that were sitting in the car shot into, parked in the driveway of 111 Roanoke Ave. It was determined that an altercation had broken out in the driveway of 111 Roanoke Ave between two of the victims and Robert Gallagher just prior to the shooting. Robert Gallagher then left and walked two houses south to his residence at 107 Roanoke Ave where a few minutes later he and his father stepped out on their porch shooting back in the direction of the 2000 Jeep Cherokee located in the driveway of 111 Roanoke Ave. where the three victims were sitting. Robert Gallagher hit that vehicle several times also hitting a second vehicle parked in the driveway.

No was injured as a result of the shooting.

Both Robert and James Gallagher were charged and placed in the Washington County Detention Center.

Police list their charges as:

Robert Gallagher: 21-years-old
Discharging a weapon into occupied property
Assault with a deadly weapon
Injury to personal property
Discharging a firearm in the city limits
$12,000 secured Bond
 
James Gallagher:58-years-old
Assault with a deadly weapon
Discharge a firearm in the city limits
$1,000 secured Bond
