Pitt County adding 2 early voting locations, plus 100 hours

GREENVILLE, N.C. -
Pitt County is adding two "one stop early voting" locations to the 2014 election schedule.

The Pitt County Elections Director David says there will now be 7 early voting locations; the Willis building on ECU's campus, the Farmville Community Center and Ayden Community Building are the county's newest locations.

39 counties in North Carolina requested a reduction of hours for this year's elections. The state granted 36 of those request. Davis says those are not Pitt County's intentions. Based on 2010’s numbers, the county is offering close to 100 hours more.

The last day to register to vote for the primary is April 11th.
