Campus Fight Sends Teen To Hospital

JACKSON, ALABAMA - Jackson Police are investigating a fight that occurred on a school campus Tuesday.

Police tell News 5 two teenage boys were involved in a fight that broke out in the field house at Jackson High School.

The victim is 17-years-old and the suspect is 16-years-old.

Detectives say the victim picked up a chair and the suspect picked up a 2x4 board with screws in it. The victim was hit with the board and suffered cuts on his head.

Paramedics rushed the victim by ambulance to USA Medical Center in Mobile.

The victim was treated and released.

The suspect has been charged with 2nd degree assault.
