New magazine aims to shine spotlight on Pitt County schools

Posted: Updated:
GREENVILLE, N.C. - Shining a spotlight on our schools, that's the goal of a new magazine just released by Pitt County administrators.

The district says it will provide new families moving to our area with the information they need to pick a school that's right for their child.

Brock Letchworth created the 48-page magazine, funded mostly through ads. It includes pictures, articles and facts showcasing each school throughout the county. It also explains the various academic and athletic programs they offer.

"The competition, in terms of what parents are going to do for their child's education, is more intense than ever,” said Brock Letchworth, Pitt County Schools. “We have a lot of great things to offer in PCS and we want to be sure that we're doing as much as we can to get the info about the programs we have to offer our to parents."

You can pick up a free copy of the new magazine around town at small businesses, realty offices or the Chamber of Commerce.
