SHARKEY COUNTY - ROLLING FORK - Rolling Fork Police are investigating this weekend after a man is shot and killed at his own home.

Police Chief Cordell Hughes tells us 37-year-old Eric Williams was shot once in the head. Chief Hughes says the murder happened between 8:00 and 9:00 Saturday evening at Williams' home on Southern Avenue in Rolling Fork.

According to family members, Williams was shot in the driveway. They also tell us the suspect beat Williams' girlfriend and then searched their home. Now they want justice for their loved one.

"Somebody needs to do something. That was wrong. They killed this man in his own yard. That was dirty," says Sonia Williams, a relative of Eric Williams.

"He was good people to everybody, and why would somebody want to do something to him? He never harmed anybody," says Donald Jackson, a friend of Eric Williams.

So far, police have not made any arrests but say they have a few persons of interest. If you know who did this, please call Rolling Fork Police.
