Update: The Bluffton Police Department is announcing the termination of Officer Henry Criss and the resignation of Officer Lindsey Marion after an internal investigation into the actions of the two officers while off duty on Tybee Island.
The investigation, conducted by the Bluffton Police Department, concluded both Officer Criss and Officer Marion violated the Code of Conduct policies of the department. As a result, Chief Joey Reynolds fired Officer Criss while Officer Marion resigned.
Tybee Island Police Department contacted the Bluffton Police after Officer Criss was arrested on April 2. Tybee Police say Officer Criss was arrested after he was involved in a bar fight at Doc's Bar and it was discovered he was in possession of a firearm. It has since been determined that the weapon was Criss' personal weapon, not one issued to him by the police department.
The Bluffton Police Department says they have suspended two officers, without pay, after they say they were involved in an incident on Tybee Island on Wednesday night.

Early Thursday morning Officer Criss along with another officer, Lindsey Marion, were both placed on administrative leave pending an internal affairs investigation.
Chief Joey Reynolds released the following statement regarding the incident:
"Bluffton Police Department holds our officers to high standards, on and off duty. This incident, which saddens and disappoints me, is a severe violation of the department's standards. Officers Henry Criss and Lindsey Marion are both highly-trained officers. Even though officers are human, society holds them to a higher standard and we have to hold ourselves accountable to that standard."
33-year-old Criss has been with the Bluffton Police Department since August 2011. 35-year old Marion has been with the force since May 2008.
