‘Sold Out’ program inspires Pitt County Students

Posted: Updated:
Former pro football player Roman Gabriel III began his tour of high schools in Pitt County Thursday to promote positive choices to students. 9 On Your Side caught up with the Gabriel this afternoon at JH Rose High School. The Sold Out Alcohol Abstinence and Character Program challenged students to be responsible and alcohol and drug abstinent, while also discussing life skills that will help make them college or career ready.

Gabriel encouraged the students saying “ ‘This man impacted the lives of other people and made a difference in somebody’s life.’ If you can say that about your life then you know you are doing something right”

Last year, the North Carolina Sold Out Alcohol Abstinence and Character Program reached more than 50,000 students, hundreds of teachers and coaches, and numerous parents though its outreach. The group says it encourages students to join the ‘Sold Out’ support group on Facebook and the Sold Out Website at www.soldouttv.com.
