Posted: Updated:
CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. - Camp Lejeune Marines are getting their eyes and hands on new and future technology.
It's part of a Marine Expo at bases all across the country.

There are 3 expos at Marine bases each year; one in Virginia, one in California, and one right here in the east.
Marines get the chance to see the items from vendors across the U.S. Stations included breakthroughs in medical treatment, storage of weapons, and new gear available to the Marines.
Organizers say the event is very important.

"The purpose of it [is to] introduce what's out there from industries to the military, to the Marine Corps. and to let also, to let these Marines come in here and look at this gear," said Jim Tuohy, Marine Corps League.

Over the 2 day expo at Camp Lejeune, organizers expect more than 3,500 visitors.
