Posted: Updated:
MAPLE, N.C. - About two dozen drug dealers are off the streets as a result of an investigation dubbed “Operate Upper Level”.

Deputies say they obtained 32 Grand Jury Indictments against upper level suppliers, mid-level dealers and those who conspired with them to distribute illegal narcotics in Currituck County beginning on Monday.  They swept into action Thursday morning, rounding up the offenders.

As part of the investigation, which took place over the course of more than a year, the narcotics officers purchased substances including heroin, crack cocaine, powder cocaine, marijuana, prescription pills, suboxine, and mushrooms.

They say there were four more indictments on subjects previously arrested for offenses during the operation. One of the indictments for Laquan Keyson Skinner was obtained on a previous felony larceny charge. The other two, Rayshawn Lamont Anthony and Seamus Drury, were arrested on previous drug charges.

They also arrested was Jerald Anthony Jones for Resist, Delay and Obstruct or interfering in the operation when deputies were trying to apprehend a subject at an address on Uncle Graham Rd.
