Heroin Investigation Leads to Arrests

An undercover narcotics investigation has lead to the arrest of two additional people. Pantelis Gregory Mendonis, 23, and Kerry Marie Boulet, 23, both of Jacksonville were both taken into custody after Special Operations Division Officers observed a heroin trafficking transaction. The arrest was made on Friday, April 11, in a retail parking area near Piney Green Road.

In a press release, Chief Mike Yaniero, Director of Public Safety says, “We will not tolerate drug activity in our community.”  Officials are encouraging anyone with information about drug sale, use or trafficking is asked to contact JPD Investigative Services Division at 910-455-4000 or Crime Stoppers at 910-938-3273. Cash rewards for information leading to arrest and callers are not required to reveal their identities.
