Murfreesboro, Tn - (WKRN) - A teen who was killed in a hit and run Thursday will receive a special honor from the Boy Scouts of America.

The organization will award Clifton Braunwalder the Spirit of the Eagle Award Sunday during a private event.

The 13-year-old was killed Thursday while changing a flat tire for his mother on Interstate 24 in Smryna.

The woman accused of hitting Clifton, Tina Wilson, is now behind bars on several charges including vehicular homicide and aggravated vehicular assault.

Visitation will be held for Clifton Monday at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Murfreesboro. It will be followed by a public candlelight vigil at 8 p.m.

Funeral mass for the teen is scheduled for Tuesday morning at the same location.
