Pet Food Pantry may lose location

Posted: Updated:
GREENVILLE, N.C. - Helping families with pets find themselves in tough times is the mission of the Pet Food Pantry of Eastern North Carolina, yet they've just hit a major road block.

Their current location at 650 E. Firetower Road at Firetower Cross is up for sale.

Up until now, this store front has been donated to them and now that it's up for sale, they either have to find a new location or pay up to $1,000 a month to lease the space.

For this small non-profit that helps feed 250 pets every month, that is not something they can afford.

If we don't have a location, we're going to have to put the food in storage and it's going to be challenging to meet with families,” said coordinator, Kristen Kenyon.

The Pet Food Pantry of ENC has given out more than 14 tons of food and litter to 90 local families in need.
