Bo Jackson ready for Bo Bikes Bama

Posted: Updated:
A-Day weekend is here, and it is extra special for Auburn fans because the legend Bo Jackson is back for Bo Bikes Bama.

The charity event kicked off Friday night in Auburn with a silent auction with memorabilia from greats like Roger Federer, Kobe Bryant, and Emmitt Smith were all up for auction, and of course, there was plenty of Auburn gear from Gus Malzahn, Bruce Pearl, and Bo.

He says helping Alabama recover from tornados is close to his heart, and that's what he will be thinking about when he is on the bike Saturday morning.

“It's letting me know that I’m doing something not only for the bettermant of my fellow man. But, it also brings awareness to the rest of the country about how devastating a tornado can be when it comes through your area,” said Jackson.

This is the third year for Bo Bikes Bama. He started the charity ride after the tornadoes that went through Tuscaloosa and Birmingham in 2011. Other riders are Ken Griffey Jr., Donald Driver, and actor Chadwick Boseman.
