Kinston 10 year old combats bullying with music video

Posted: Updated:
KINSTON, N.C. - A Kinston 10-year-old girl is using a music video to combat bullying.

Cassidy Kennedy whose stage name is “Kennedy James” has a music video out called “Mean Ol’ Bully.”

The up and coming star says her bullying experience in second grade inspired the song. The song is off her “Super Girl” album.

“Mean Ol’ Bully” was produced by Michael Lockridge.

The video was shot over three days at several locations in Kinston including Moss Hill Elementary school.

Kennedy says this is her favorite song on the album because it’s sending a message that bullying is not ok.

“I'm hoping that I can help stop the bullying, because I've been bullied and I don't like it,” said Kennedy.
