Get up and get going with 'Couch to 5K' program

Posted: Updated:
GREENVILLE, N.C. -
We don't have a lot of sports going on locally tonight but that doesn't mean people aren't out being active. If you're looking for motivation to get up and get going, look no further than the 'Couch to 5K' program.

It's an initiative to get off your backside and get running 5 kilometers in just 9 weeks time. Every Tuesday and Thursday night at H. Boyd Lee Park a group of over 100 people works towards that goal. You stretch, walk and build up your running skills so you can lose a little weight and accomplish a physical goal.

Watch 9 On Your Side at 11:20 for interviews and check out http://www.greenvillenc.gov/departments/rec_parks_dept/information/default.aspx?id=20552
