Motorcyclist killed in Durham accident

DURHAM, N.C. -

A motorcyclist was killed Friday morning around 9:30 a.m. when the driver of a tractor trailer turned and the motorcyclist failed to stop for a stop light and hit the trailer, according to the Highway Patrol.

The accident happened on Davis Drive at Park Drive in Durham County.

A 2006 Sterling tractor trailer driven by Kevin Shearin, 28, of Nashville, was traveling south on Davis Drive. Once at the intersection of Davis and Park drive, the tractor trailer made a left turn onto the I-40 east-bound ramp.

The motorcyclist, identified as 44-year-old Randall Lamar Gregg, of Greensboro, was killed after striking the tractor.
