Asheville Police have charged a man they say shot into a car and then ran inside Asheville Mall.

Isaac Allen Beverly is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle, going armed to the terror of the public, possession of firearm by felon and no operators license after the incident Monday. He is being held at the Buncombe County Detention Facility on a $100,000 bond.

Police in Asheville were called to the mall on Tunnel Road after a report of shots being fired.

Authorities tell us a man on a motorcycle drove into the parking lot and started randomly firing shots at a car with two people inside.

He then crashed his motorcycle and ditched the bike, along with his helmet and gun and ran into the mall, Sgt. Dave Romick says.

According to officials, the suspect went into the mall at the Barnes & Noble store.

Beverly, 52, was found inside a bathroom and was taken into custody a short time later. He has yet to be charged.

No injuries were reported.
