President Barack Obama will host German Chancellor, Angela Merkel at the White House this morning to discuss the crisis in Ukraine. They'll hold a joint news conference in the Rose Garden at midday.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Obama will be in San Antonio for College Signing Day, a day focused on encouraging young people to pursue higher education. The Department of Education is encouraging you to wear college gear today to join in the movement.

The April jobs report is due out this morning. Economists expect to see more than 200,000 jobs added and the unemployment rate down slightly.

Virginia Tech will host a STEM Summit today from 8:30 to 2:00 at the Inn at Virginia Tech. It will feature speakers on how to improve science, technology, engineering, and math education in local schools.
