DOWNTOWN ROANOKE - If you didn't get a chance to go to the Strawberry Festival Friday you can go anytime Saturday.

Enjoy everything strawberry in downtown Roanoke. Strawberries and cream, chocolate covered strawberries and strawberry shortcake.

The event is more than three decades old and draws thousands of people every year. The money goes back to the Community School to provide scholarships and help provide new technology.

"It kind of kicks off the festival season here in Roanoke. The Strawberry Festival is one of the oldest and certainly most beloved events here in roanoke. so we're just really proud that this is our event," said Pattie Stratton who is one of the festival chairs.

WSLS is a proud sponsor of this event again this year. Stop by and see us Saturday and play cornhole to win prizes!

The festival is in Elmwood Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
