UPDATE (11:15 a.m.)
The Nelson County Commonwealth's Attorney continues to play audio recordings of interviews with Randy Taylor from August 7.
Taylor says in the recordings that he doesn't remember everything he did the day Alexis Murphy went missing on August 3.Lead investigator Billy Mays says, "You're leaving big gaps in your stories. I find it hard to believe you don't remember stopping." Taylor responded, "If you want to arrest me or something that's fine." Investigator Mays told Taylor surveillance video places him at the Liberty Gas station in Lovingston holding the door open for Murphy.
He also says surveillance shows him at the Applebee's in Charlottesville 45 minutes after the car Murphy was driving was parked at the movie theater. Taylor then admitted he met his friend at Applebee's on Sunday, but in the recording, he repeats he does not remember seeing Murphy at all.
Randy Taylor will be back in court in Nelson County today for Day 4 of his trial.
He is the man charged with abducting and murdering missing teen Alexis Murphy.
Court will be back in session at 9:30am.
Today, the prosecution will continue calling it's witnesses to the stand.
So far, more than half of the close to 50 people that were subpoenaed by the prosecution have testified.
Testimony for the remaining witnesses for the prosecution is expected to last through tomorrow.
The defense will begin calling witnesses to the stand later this week.
