Fayetteville police searching for bank robbery suspect

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -

Fayetteville police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect said to have robbed the Carter Bank & Trust Wednesday.

Police said an unknown male suspect entered the bank, located at 697 Country Club Drive, around 9:30 a.m. and handed a note to a teller demanding money.

The suspect was able to obtain an unknown amount of money and left the scene on foot towards Rose Hill Street, police said.

Police described the suspect as a clean shaven black male in his mid to late 30s, standing around 5 foot 8 inches, wearing a white hat and jacket and blue jeans.
