RALEIGH, N.C. -
A Texas company unveiled a new, mixed-use development project that would be built near Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh.
Trademark Property Co., the Fort Worth-based retail and mixed-use investment, development and third-party services firm, announced the plans for Carolina Row at Crabtree Valley on Wednesday.
The plans call for at least a 125,000- to 150,000-square-foot retail and restaurant space, a hotel and 700 residential units.
"In our view, this is one of the best retail and mixed-use sites in North Carolina," Trademark CEO Terry Montesi said in statement. "We believe national retailers will have strong interest in a pedestrian focused mixed-use development at this site, given the outstanding location and the strong performance of Crabtree Valley Mall.
"This site provides tremendous opportunity to live our purpose: To be extraordinary stewards, enhance communities and enrich lives."
Plans also include a pedestrian and bicycle bridge that will connect Carolina Row to Crabtree Valley Mall.
Construction on the mixed-use project is expected to begin in spring of 2015 with an opening scheduled for late 2016.
