Deputies arrest man for several Tyrrell County break-ins

Posted: Updated:
COLUMBIA, N.C. -  A man is behind bars in connection with several break-ins in Tyrrell County.

On Friday, The Tyrrell County Sheriff's Office arrested Keith Alfred Hodges. The 25-year-old is charged with several felonies including Breaking and Entering and Larceny.

Deputies say the charges stem from several break-ins in the Soundside Community over the last several months.

Hodges is currently in the Washington County Detention Center under a $50,000 bond. Deputies say more charges are expected.

The Sheriff's Office says they have recovered $4,000 in stolen property. Deputies say the investigation has also led them to believe their may be more break-ins that have not been reported. The Sheriff's Office is asking for the community's help in finding people whose homes or outbuildings may have been broken into in the last six months. Deputies are also asking  people who have bought items from Hodges in the last six months to contact them.

If you have any information regarding this matter please contact the Tyrrell County Sheriff’s Office or the investigating Deputy, Chief Deputy S.R. Spence at 252-796-2662.
