Waukesha, WI - "She says she's having trouble breathing. She said she was stabbed multiple times," said the man who found a 12-year-old girl who was allegedly stabbed 19 times by her friends on a 911 call.

Stabbed 19 times, and left for dead, police say by her two "so-called" friends.

A passerby in Waukesha, Wisconsin dial 911 after finding the bleeding 12-year-old as she crawled out of the woods...after being stabbed 19 times and left for dead, police say, by her two "so-called" friends. The man stayed by the girl's side until paramedics arrived.

"Who did that to you, or don't you want to talk?" the man could be heard asking the girl on the 911 call.

Struggling to breathe, the young victim didn't answer. But police say, two 12-year-old girls were behind the attack.

According to court documents, Morgan Geyser and Anissa Weier lured her into the woods, motivated by a fictional internet character named "Slenderman", allegedly believing that by killing their friend they would become his agents. Weier reportedly told police: "The bad part of me wanted her to die, the good part of me wanted her to live".

"If these allegations are true...this was plotted and schemed for some time and it's a very very brutal act..." said Waukesha County District Attorney Brad Schimel.

The suspects are charged as adults with attempted first-degree intentional homicide, but Geyser's lawyer says his client may have mental health issues and should instead be tried in juvenile court.

"To say it's every parent's worst nightmare is a cliche, but it is. It's the worst nightmare they could ever be dealing with," said attorney Anthony Cotton.

"The family is horrified by what has happened. They are so sorry to the victim...and her family," said attorney Donna Kuchler.

Marci Gonzalez, reporting: "And, we're told the victim is hospitalized in stable condition. If the suspects are tried as adults, and convicted, they could face up to 65 years in prison."
