Atlanta, GA - Are you willing to live with three complete strangers in a life raft for as long as it takes to win $10,000? Six Flags Over Georgia – home of the new Hurricane Harbor water park – is excited to announce the first-ever $10,000 Hurricane Harbor Power Payoff, which will begin on Friday, June 20th in the Calypso Bay Wave Pool at Hurricane Harbor.

Power 96.1 is currently searching for four lucky contestants who will compete for the $10,000 payout. Interested candidates should apply online at www.power961.com and click on the $10,000 Hurricane Harbor Power Payoff contest banner to enter. Contestants will be required to send a picture and explain in 200 words or less why they should have the chance to win $10,000.

Power 96.1 listeners can vote online for the final four people to compete for the $10,000. Voting ends at midnight on June 13th. The winners will be announced on the Power Morning Show with Scotty K and Riley on June 16th.

"Our Power 96.1 family is very excited to partner with Six Flags to give someone here in Atlanta a life changing amount of money,” said Power 96.1 Morning Co-Host Scotty K. “We are looking forward to being a part of such a youthful and positive event. I can't wait to give the updates every morning and then hand someone $10,000!"

On June 20th, all four competitors will step into a life raft, which will float in the middle of the Calypso Bay Wave Pool at Hurricane Harbor. Calypso Bay is a 38,000 square foot wave pool, which features up to four foot waves. During the day, the four contestants will live in the raft and at night, will live in a raft on land. The last person sitting will win the $10,000 grand prize.

Hurricane Harbor is now open for the 2014 season and features the world’s first hybrid zero-gravity slide Tsunami Surge, a multi-slide complex Bonzai Pipelines, a children’s interactive playground Paradise Island and Calypso Bay. Hurricane Harbor is free with admission to Six Flags Over Georgia.
