GREENVILLE, N.C. - Police arrested a second suspect wanted in a series of home break-ins on Addison Ct., Royal Drive, Trafalgar Dr., Crooked Creek Dr. and Tulls Cove Road.

Officers found 18-year-old David Pope at the Village Green Apartment Complex in Greenville around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Last Wednesday, 21-year-old Shirone Ford was arrested by officers after he was located in Bertie County.  He was taken to the Pitt County Detention Center and placed under a $200,000 secured bond.

Both Pope and Ford are charged with seven counts of breaking and entering, six counts of felony larceny, one count of attempted felony larceny, and five counts of felony conspiracy.

Police are asking for the public’s help to locate two men identified in a series of Greenville home break-ins.


They’ve obtained warrants against 18-year-old David Ja’Sahaun Pope and 21-year-old Shirone Ford. They’re wanted for more than a dozen charges for their involvement in a number of cases on Addison Ct., Royal Drive, Trafalgar Dr., Crooked Creek Dr. and Tulls Cove Road.

Officers say all the break-ins happened in the last month with the entering the home through an unsecured window/door or used a pry tool to gain entry. Electronics, jewelry and cash were stolen in the break-ins.

A concerned citizen helped police develop a suspect vehicle description confirmed by surveillance video. They’re believed to be driving a silver/gray Nissan Sentra with a dent in the rear driver’s side, North Carolina License Plate #: CBL-7191.
