Thousands of new students, parents coming to ECU

Posted: Updated:
GREENVILLE, N.C. -
Around 900 new East Carolina University students and parents are in the east for orientation.

The two-day orientation sessions started mid-June and will continue to mid-July.

More than 5,000 students and parents are expected to attend the sessions.

Students will register for classes, navigate the campus and make new friends.

Though it's a busy two days, executive director of student transitions Mary Beth Corbin, E.d.D, said it's an energizing time.
"It's just a really exciting time for students and their parents and actually for us at ECU," Mary Beth Corbin, E.d.D. "We love to do this. We're very proud of our university"
