Mugshots: 5 more arrested, 2 still wanted in Operation Pill Crusher, Phase VII

BEAUFORT, N.C. - Five more people have been arrested and 2 charged in phase VII of “Operation Pill Crusher”.

Last month, Sheriff Asa Buck and District Attorney Scott Thomas announced 24 arrests in the first round of the undercover drug operation called “Operation Pill Crusher.” Since that announcement, deputies have rounded up another 43 people in Phase II, Phase III, Phase IV, Phase V and Phase VI of the operation. 

The operation is an effort to target criminal suspects who have been engaged in the illegal sales and diversion of prescription medication and other illegal drugs in Carteret County.

Those charged in phase VII of “Operation Pill Crusher” include:

Schedule II controlled substances
• 1 count – Sell and deliver Schedule II controlled substances
• 1 count – Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, & deliver

Schedule III controlled substances
• 1 count – Sell and deliver Schedule III controlled substances
• 1 count – Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, & deliver

Schedule VI controlled substances
• 1 count – Sell and deliver Schedule VI controlled substances
• 1 count – Conspire to sell and deliver Schedule II controlled substances
• 1 count – Conspire to sell and deliver Schedule III controlled substances
