MORRISVILLE, N.C. -

Starbucks is now the latest major corporation stepping up and showing their appreciation to the troops.

The coffee giant is making good on a pledge to hire 10,000 veterans and military spouses over the next five years.

James Bossio works as an assistant manager at a Starbucks in Morrisville. He served in the U.S. Army for nine years with multiple deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.

Starbucks hired Bossio four months ago.

“Starbucks makes it a point to be a driving force for good in the communities they serve,” Bossio said.

Bossio encourages other veterans to give Starbucks a try. He said their military training makes them perfectly suited for jobs that require leadership, teamwork and integrity.
