CARY, N.C. -

Police say two men who were burglarizing a home in Cary Tuesday afternoon were startled when they found two young girls in the home during the break-in.

Cary police said two men knocked on the door of a home on Castalia Drive around 3 p.m. Tuesday; about 15 minutes later, the men then began beating on the back door.

Police said one of the men was able to get into the home but he left when he saw one of two girls who were hiding in a back bedroom

An 11-year-old and a 14-year-old girl were inside the home at the time of the break-in and hid in the back bedroom when they heard the suspect gain entry, police said. One of the girls called 911 while the suspect was in the home and was able to stay on the phone until officers arrived.

The first suspect is described as a black male with medium complexion in his mid-20s to early 30s. He stands about 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-7 and weighs around 130 pounds. He has short curly hair, brown eyes and a full beard with mustache. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, white T-shirt, dark blue baggy jeans and black sneakers.

The second suspect is described as a black male with dark complexion in his early 30s. He stands about 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-11 and weighs around 180 pounds. He has brown eyes, patchy facial hair and short dreadlocks that come down to mid-ear level. He was wearing a baggy, light gray zip-up jacket, white T-shirt, dark baggy jeans and black sneakers.

Police said property was taken from the home, however it was not clear what exactly was stolen.
