Hundreds attend inaugural Back to School Bash

Posted: Updated:
COLUMBUS, Ga. -

Hundreds of people from across the Chattahoochee Valley lined up early Saturday morning for News 3's inaugural Back to School Bash at BMW of Columbus. It was a day filled with fun and free events for children and their parents. They got to dunk News 3's very own Phil Scoggins in a dunking booth. There were also crafts, tons of games, and several free giveaways Saturday.

"You know at WRBL we pride ourselves on being On Your Side and part of that means helping folks in our community that need a little help when it comes to things like back to school so that's what we did today," said WRBL News 3 General Manager David Hart.

Several sponsors provided food and entertainment at the event that lasted about 4 hours Saturday morning. If you missed out this year, we're planning to have another Back to School event next year. David Hart says it should be bigger and better.
