RALEIGH, N.C. - Raleigh police have arrested a man accused of holding four women hostage.

Eric Javon Thompson, 26, of Jacksonville, was taken into custody by Raleigh police and is being held in the Wake County Detention Center.  Court documents show he is charged with four counts of human trafficking, two counts of assault by strangulation, one count of common law robbery and one count of felony conspiracy.

Thompson is accused of holding four women in involuntary servitude between November 2013 and June 2014.  He is also accused of choking two of the women.  Police say the crimes happened in Raleigh but officers traveled to Charlotte to arrest Thompson.

Thompson is also accused of stealing $120 on Aug. 11.

Police are not saying where the crimes happened.  Thompson is being held under $1 million bond for the trafficking charges and another $20,000 for robbery and conspiracy.
