OBETZ, Ohio -

A 31-year-old Obetz man is facing drug charges following a search warrant conducted at his home on Tuesday.

Christopher Edmond was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of heroin, and possessing weapons under disability.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, the drug task force received a complaint regarding a possible marijuana growing operation and heroin trafficking at a home located in the 4600 block of Sandridge Street.

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office SWAT team executed a search warrant at the home Tuesday at about 8:43 a.m., at which time investigators reported seizing drugs and multiple firearms.

According to the sheriff's office, deputies seized one pound of marijuana, 10 marijuana plants, 1.5 kilograms of heroin that was packaged for sale and distribution, oxycodone pills, and approximately $7,000 in U.S. currency. Deputies also seized 22 guns, including multiple assault rifles and handguns, and large amounts of ammunition.

The sheriff's office says Edmond could also be charged with drug trafficking, and firearm specifications.

The investigation is ongoing, according to the sheriff's office.
