Cheyenne Pagan is one of the newest WNCT reporters, covering the Jacksonville area.
Cheyenne graduated from The University of South Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications with a focus in Broadcast Journalism in December.
Cheyenne loves to tell stories and knew very early on in college she was going to be a journalist. She interned at WFTS in Tampa and anchored/reported a news brief called “Florida Focus” for the PBS affiliate in Tampa.
She was the recipient of the Best Online Story at the Tampa Bay Association of Black Journalists 2020 Griot Drum Award ceremony for a project she worked on with a fellow classmate about the first black mayor of Sarasota.
As a true Florida native, Cheyenne says the one thing she’s looking forward to the most about being in North Carolina is seeing the leaves change in the fall.
If you have any story ideas or tips, email Cheyenne at CPagan@wnct.com. She looks forward to telling stories in Jacksonville.
