Courtney Layton joined WNCT in January 2022 as a Digital Content Producer.
Courtney is originally from Indian Trail, NC and is a recent graduate of East Carolina University with a degree in University Studies. In addition to being a four-year letterwinner in softball for the Pirates (2017 – 2021), Courtney also interned with the ECU Athletics Digital Marketing Department while pursuing her degree.
In her free time, Courtney enjoys music, the beach and attending sporting events. She stays busy cheering on the Pirates, Carolina Hurricanes and Carolina Panthers.
After 17 years of softball and school, Courtney is excited to begin her professional career in Greenville. She also hopes to continue to raise awareness about Epilepsy as an advocate currently managing the neurological disorder.
