Born and raised in southern Maryland along the Chesapeake Bay, he also spent many years on the West Coast and earned his bachelor’s degree in meteorology at Cal State San Jose. He vividly remembers Hurricane David skirting his hometown back in 1979, an event that finalized his decision to pursue meteorology in college.
Rob joins the WNCT-Channel 9 team as the weekday Morning Edition meteorologist.
Rob’s former positions include WVVA-TV in mountainous West Virginia, WXXV in deep-south Gulfport, Mississippi, and WICZ in Binghamton, New York, where he received the Television Seal of Approval from the American Meteorological Society. He recently moved to Greenville to be closer to home and family.
Before his weather career, he was an avid sous chef in California, and is also quite a motorcycle enthusiast.
