Featured News

Hyde County’s debris removal contractor has started the debris removal process for Ocracoke, county officials say.

Debris must be separated and piled on the right of way for removal.

See attached diagram for instructions from the county on how to separate the debris.

Officials say, please be aware that the public beach access is now a temporary debris site and closed to the public.

Ocracoke residents will only be allowed to take household trash to the convenience site.
