SNOW HILL, (WNCT) — Good weather is making for a solid start to tobacco season for farmers in Eastern North Carolina as they set out their crops.
Brandon Garris, assistant farm manager at Ham Farms, said that it has been ideal compared to last year.
“It’s not hot and dry like it was last year. It’s been pretty mild and we’ve had some good rain throughout the season so far,” said Garris.
