JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – As North Carolina celebrates 100 years of Public Health Nursing, two nurses from Onslow County were recognized with an award.
Elizabeth Junak, Director of Nursing and Geoconda Morrow, Public Health Nurse Manager were both recognized for their noteworthy evidence of innovation, collaboration, community-centered care, and professionalism in their work setting.
The honor comes after being reviewed by a committee of eight peers across the state.

The women will receive their award later this month in Greensboro, N.C.
