NEW JERSEY (WNCT) — Lightning illuminated the sky above Atlantic City’s boardwalk on Tuesday, August 15, as severe storms moved through New Jersey.

This footage by John Napoli shows the stormy weather on Tuesday evening, with the famous Steel Pier visible in the video.

Stormy weather was expected to return to the state on Thursday, the National Weather Service said.
