A large crash prompted Illinois State Police to close all lanes of Interstate 55 in northern Montgomery County on Monday, May 1.
The crash, which occurred outside of Springfield near Farmersville, was reported to have involved multiple vehicles.
The National Weather Service said a combination of newly plowed fields and gusty northwest winds produced a dust storm in the area at the time of the crash.
