Coronavirus

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — Vidant Health has announced it will allow anyone age 16 and older to get a COVID-19 vaccine.

Starting Thursday, anyone age 16 and older can go online and register for a vaccine. You can also call (252) 847-8000 to schedule an appointment.

The vaccine is available at any of its locations where vaccines are being administered through the Vidant Health system along with the mass vaccination location at the Greenville Convention Center.

Jacob Parrish, Vidant’s vice president of Systems and Procedures says this is another step to get the community back on track.

“We are coming up on seniors and coming up on pre-college aged people and so a lot of people who are interested in going to a university or college for the next phase of their life, I would imagine they would want the vaccine,” Parrish Said. “A shot in the arm is a shot in the arm.

“The more people who can get it safely and at the appropriate time, the better.”
